What is an add to cart trigger in Google Tag Manager?
In Google Tag Manager, a trigger listens to your web page or mobile app for certain types of events like form submissions, button clicks, or page views. The trigger tells the tag to fire when the specified event is detected.
If you are not familiar with triggers and other Google Tag Manager components, see more here.
If you are already using Google Tag Manager for conversion tracking or for any other tool, it is very likely you already have the Add to Cart triggers set up in your Google Tag Manager container.
To check the triggers in your Google Tag Manager container, click on “Triggers” on the left-hand menu in your Google Tag Manager container.
If you don’t have Add to Cart triggers set up in your Google Tag Manager, see how to create them here.
