How to add a Countdown element on your Onsite Forms
You can now add a countdown element on your Onsite Forms, to create urgency and lead your customers to make a new purchase or reduce your cart abandonment rates.
1. First, you will need to create a new Campaign. There are two ways to create one:
1a. You can click on the Dashboard tab from the main menu and then click on the Create your own button at the bottom of the page.
1b. You can click on the Campaigns tab from the main menu and then click the Create new campaign button on the top right corner of the page.
2. After creating a new Onsite Form, you will be led to the Campaign Editor. From the top bar menu, you can name your campaign by typing in the input box, as shown in the image below.
3. After naming your campaign, you can drag and drop the Countdown element from the Special Elements.
4. After dragging and dropping the element, the Countdown Settings, Design and Layout tabs will appear.
5. From the Settings tab, you can configure settings about the Fixed Time and Fixed Dates. From the Fixed Time tab, you can type in the Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds that will be shown in the Countdown element. From the Unit Labels you can also modify the label names shown. Please note that you need to have four elements and cannot delete any.
From the Fixed Dates, you can select a specific date instead of typing the Days left.
By clicking on the Select Date, a calendar view will pop up, where you can select a specific date. You can also set the time of the specific date, in Hours, Minutes and Seconds.
Under the Set Time section, you can select a timezone from the drop down menu, as shown below.
After setting the Date, you can also modify the Unit Labels, exactly like in the Fixed Time tab.
6. From the Design tab, you can configure the Font, Color and other design settings of the element.
7. From the Layout tab, you can configure Background, Position and other element settings.
8. Now that we have configured our Countdown settings, we can add a Form and any other elements, by dragging and dropping them from the Elements tab.
You can find here how to create and edit an Onsite Form, if you haven't done it yet.
9. After editing your campaign, don't forget to click the Save button, to avoid losing your progress and campaign.
